Roaming costs,
compared.

A day pass is a charge your home network adds for each day you use your phone abroad, usually letting you use your normal allowance. It is typically charged only on days you use data, calls or texts while abroad, but the exact trigger depends on the operator.

Many operators price roaming by contract, plan generation or zone rather than as one public figure. We publish a number only when the price, currency and charge basis were confirmed on the operator's own website. 68 offers meet that bar in this snapshot; the rest link to the official page so you can see the price for your plan.

For trips of more than a few days, a prepaid travel eSIM is often cheaper than paying a daily roaming charge, because you pay once for the whole trip. Use the calculator above with your own network, destination and trip length to see the difference.

It can. Turning Data Roaming off on your home SIM stops its mobile data, but calls, texts and voicemail on that line may still be charged by your home network. Check its roaming terms, or turn the line off if you do not need your number.
